Class Rank

On 20 August, 2018 by Manuel Montenegro

What is “Class Rank”?

Definition:

Class Rank is the ranking of every student in the same class based on his/her grades.

In the US, how can you measure the “Class Rank”?

In the US, the “Class Rank” is based on the “Grade Point Average”, known as GPA. Both in High School and College, the “Class Rank” is based on the grades that a student manages to obtain. The better your grades are, the higher you will be in the “Class Rank”.

Why is the “Class Rank” important?

Your “Class Rank” is very important in the college application process. The higher you are in your “Class Rank”, the better chances of getting admitted in a school you will have, since admissions’ teams truly value how well you are doing in high school compared to your classmates.
