What is a college minor?

Definition:

A college minor is related to a complementary field of study a student chose for his/her university career in addition to a major. All minors have a specific number of courses, credits and other requirements students need to meet in order to obtain an undergraduate diploma. The workload to obtain a minor is usually lower than the one required to obtain a major.
