What is a student-athlete?

Definition:

A student athlete is a person who participates in an organized competitive sport sponsored by the educational institution which they attend. Being a student-athletes make you possible to combine your university studies with a very athletic competitive program. Becoming a student-athlete is the best way to do not have to choose between your university studies and your athletic career at the age of 18 years old.

Do student athletes have a minimum GPA requirement?

The NCAA indicates that to be eligible to participate in a sport you must have a minimum of a 2.0 GPA

Do student athletes get paid?

Student athletes can get their fees, room and board, and course related materials paid for through scholarships. The NCAA also allows schools to pay their athletes stipends since they are not allowed to work as compensation.
